This article is about how to write a script for tank filling and emptying using a script in InTouch SCADA<\/a> software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tank Filling and Emptying<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Follow the below step to see the script to fill and empty the level of the tank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Open InTouch<\/a> SCADA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a new project and enter an animation environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To add a tank, click on \u201cwizard\u201d then click on \u201csymbol factory\u201d and hit \u201cok\u201d to proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Search tank and add a tank that you want to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

After adding a tank to the screen, add one switch<\/a> to provide the condition to fill the tank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Double click on tank to add properties and to give a tag name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click on \u201canimation\u201d and then choose \u201cvertical\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Clicking on a vertical will open up a new pop-up window as shown in the below window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 6:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Give a tag name<\/a> and choose the range you want to add. Hit \u201cok\u201d to proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 7:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

New pop-up as shown in the below window will open up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In type choose memory integer. Choose maximum and minimum value. Hit \u201csave\u201d then close the pop-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 8:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Give a tag name to switch too. Hit ok ton proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 9:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Now I will write the script<\/a>. As I am using a single-window script I will use windows script.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do a right-click and choose windows script.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 10:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Here I have added a script to fill and empty the tank with the help of the switch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first line of a script, you can see that to fill the tank I have used condition (==) and result (=).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Condition: If my switch is \u201c1\u201d means ON and tank level is less than 100 then the tank is going to fill (T = T + 2) with a rate of \u201c2\u201d. If you want to fill the tank in less time you can use any number from 1 (Low) to 10 (High).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the tank emptying process, I simply have used OFF switch means when I put off the switch and level of the tank is greater than 0 (zero) then the tank is going to empty (T = T – 2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, \u201c+\u201d to fill the tank and \u201c-\u201c to empty the tank is used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click on \u201cvalidate\u201d than \u201cconvert\u201d and \u201cok\u201d to load the script.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 11:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Check the process by clicking on the \u201cruntime\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
